Serkan Kılıç
Scholarly Communication Librarianship Team Manager
Serkan Kılıç completed his bachelor’s degree from the Department of Librarianship at Istanbul University in 2001 and got his master's degree from the Department of Information and Documentation Management at Marmara University in 2005.
He began his professional career in 2000 as a Specialist Librarian in the Reference Department of the Library and Documentation at Istanbul Bilgi University. He worked as a Specialist Librarian in the Cataloging and Metadata Department from 2008 to 2017, and as the e-Library and Cataloging Supervisor from 2017 to 2024. As of 2025, Mr. Kılıç continues his career as the Team Manager of Scholarly Communication Librarianship.
His areas of expertise include the Library of Congress Classification (LCC), LC Subject Headings (LCSH), LC Authority, Anglo-American Cataloging Rules (AACR2), Resource Description and Access (RDA), Scientific Publication Incentive, Scholarly Communication, and the Academic Performance Management System (APYS).
