62nd Library Week – Panel
Artificial Intelligence Units and Innovative Services in University Libraries

Library Week, which will be celebrated for the 62nd time this year, has been observed annually in our country during the last week of March since 1964 with various events aimed at highlighting the role of libraries in society and the importance of access to information.
As part of Library Week, which will take place between March 30 – April 5, 2026, as part of Library Week, a panel titled “Artificial Intelligence Units and Innovative Services in University Libraries” will be organized in collaboration with the İbn Haldun University Library, the MEF University Library, and the Kadir Has University Library, hosted by our university library.
The panel, which will discuss topics such as artificial intelligence applications, new service models, and user experience in university libraries, will consist of two sessions. In the first session, policies, guidelines, and applications related to artificial intelligence will be evaluated within the framework of university library administrators’ experiences and institutional approaches. In the second session, the topic will be discussed from the user's perspective, featuring the experiences and opinions of students who have utilized the AI tools and applications developed in these libraries.
Those wishing to attend the event must complete the registration form available at this link. The event is open to everyone interested. Following the panel, a tour of the Istanbul Bilgi University Energy Museum will be organized for participants.
