Article Processing Charge (APC)

Cambridge Journals Online

BİLGİ has had a subscription with the ‘Cambridge Journals Online’ database since 2006. In the event that any of our faculty members has an article published in one of the 444 journals listed in the ‘Cambridge Journals Online’ database in 2025, the Article Processing Charge-APC* will not be applicable.   

In order for an article to be published free of charge, the corresponding author must be a member of our University. The list of the 444 journals is provided below. Any of our faculty members that would like to be published in these journals can contact the library (kutuphane@bilgi.edu.tr).

*APC refers to the amount paid for the publication of a scientific study in an open access or hybrid journal where everyone can access it free of charge.

Oxford Journals Online

We have been subscribed to the Oxford Journals Online database since 2004, providing access to 529 journals. Of these journals, 371 accept publications under hybrid, 14 under diamond (Diamond Open Access), and 144 under gold (Gold Open Access) open access methods.

In 2026, Article Processing Charges (APC)* will not be charged for publications in hybrid and diamond open access journals in the Oxford Journals Online database. A 25% discount will be applied to APC fees for publications in gold open access journals. For articles to be published free of charge or at a discounted rate as open access, the corresponding author must be a member of our University. The list of these journals is attached. Academics wishing to publish in these journals can contact our library (kutuphane@bilgi.edu.tr).

Wiley Online Library

The national APC quota for 2025 under the TÜBİTAK-Wiley Open Access Agreement has been reached. Information regarding the APC agreement for 2026 will be announced later.

There has been access to more than 1.367 periodicals on ‘Wiley Online Library‘ database through our library since 2003 and within the scope of TÜBİTAK-EKUAL since 2008. TÜBİTAK-EKUAL has turned 2023-2025 Wiley Online Library database agreement into Read & Publish model.

With this model, ‘Research Article’, ‘Review Article’, ‘Data Article’, and ‘Rapid Publication’ types of publications in Q1 and Q2 Groups Wiley Hybrid and Wiley Gold Journals (excluding Hindawi) that are found on Web of Science (WOS) will be within the scope of Open Access and there will be no Article Processing Charge-APC* for the 928 publications that are indicated in the attachment.

For the articles to be published free of charge, the author should be a member of our University. Our academics who would like to be published in these articles can contact our library at (kutuphane@bilgi.edu.tr).

Springer-Nature

Our library continues to provide access to more than 2.300 e-journals of Springer-Nature publishing house. Within the scope of the EKUAL Project carried out by TÜBİTAK-ULAKBİM, the access agreement of Springer-Nature's e-journals has been converted to the ‘Read & Publish’ model to cover the period 2024-2026.  

Article Processing Charge (APC)* will not be charged for your publications in 1.075 journals of Springer-Nature publishing house. In this model, ‘Original Article’, ‘Review Article’, and ‘Continuing Education’ type publications in Springer-Nature Hybrid Journals with SCI, SSCI, AHCI in Web of Science, Q1 and Q2 group will be within the scope of ‘Read & Publish’ support.  

The list of journals that will support the publication of open access articles is provided below. In order for the articles to be published free of charge, the responsible author must be a member of our University. Our academics who want to publish in these journals can contact our library (kutuphane@bilgi.edu.tr).

Sage Premier Journals

Our library has been providing full-text access to 1.061 journals in the Sage Premier Journals database since 1999. In the 2026 agreement with the Sage Premier Journals database, a new clause has been added regarding a discount on the Article Processing Charge (APC)*.

Under this agreement, publications in the 1.034 journals listed in the attachment will be supported with Open Access (OA) funding throughout 2026. Authors can publish unlimited articles in these journals with a 95% discount on the APC, paying only 200 GBP per article.

In order for an article to be published with a discount, the corresponding author must be a member of our University. A list of the 1.034 journals is shown below. Any of our faculty members who would like to be published in these journals can contact the library (kutuphane@bilgi.edu.tr).
